Yesterday was a big day for me. I was off from work and Laura and I woke up early to go have lunch at Biscottis ... it's a little place but the food is legendary. Then we went out to the beach and walked around on, found a sharks tooth, and had a drink at The Sea Turtle. We headed back home where we chilled out for a couple hours ... at 8:00 we were going to go see the Fleetwood Mac concert. We left at about 7:00pm and headed out. The concert was at the new Jacksonville Coliseum downtown. I got a little nervous because the bridge that we take to get downtown was closed. GARRRRRRRRR. We did some re-routing and got there around 7:30. We got to park really close actually. We walked across the street and there were people everywhere. The show must have sold out I guess. They were selling beer for 4 dollars out front so we got 2 each and hung out with the crowd. There were so many people ... I really couldn't believe it. Anyway, we finished up our Bud Lite's and headed inside. As soon as we entered we saw Concert T-Shirts on sale. I HAD TO HAVE ONE! I mean ... I am a huge Fleetwood Mac fan. So we stood in line. Only a few people in line anyway ... I got a black t-shirt with a pic of the band on the front and all the concert dates on the back. We walked around for a little bit and then headed to our seats. We were way up at the top. I wasn't able to get the tickets when they were first released so we were up in the balcony. It's a new arena and it was designed so that all the seats are good ... and I have to say .. it was perfect up there. We could see everything! It was a fantastic view. The concert was much better than I had hoped it would be. I went online and read up on the concert this morning and it is getting rave reviews. Lindsey Buckingham was just unbelievable! He was just amazing. He played the guitar like I've never seen anyone do before. He played 'I'm So Afraid' and it had a great guitar solo at the end. When the song was over, he got a standing ovation for 15 minutes! THe had to just start playing a song because everyone just kept clapping and screaming. It was really a very very good concert. Stevie Nicks was very good as well. We enjoyed it very very much indeed. We left after the last encore and beat all of the traffic because I parked in a great spot. We decided to go to IHOP afterwards ... IHOP never tasted so good. Then we crawled home and went to bed. In a couple weeks I am going to see Eric Clapton! I can't believe it. He is my favorite all time artist. I fell so lucky to finally be able to se him in concert. I would have done anything to be there when he made the Unplugged album. That is my favorite album of his. I can listen to it for hours. I can't wait!!! Ok I'm done Current Mood: numb Current Music: movie - Casino
