Yesterday was a big day for me.

I was off from work and Laura and I woke up early to go have lunch at Biscottis ... it's a little place but the food is legendary. Then we went out to the beach and walked around on, found a sharks tooth, and had a drink at The Sea Turtle. We headed back home where we chilled out for a couple hours ... at 8:00 we were going to go see the Fleetwood Mac concert. We left at about 7:00pm and headed out. The concert was at the new Jacksonville Coliseum downtown. I got a little nervous because the bridge that we take to get downtown was closed. GARRRRRRRRR. We did some re-routing and got there around 7:30. We got to park really close actually. We walked across the street and there were people everywhere. The show must have sold out I guess. They were selling beer for 4 dollars out front so we got 2 each and hung out with the crowd. There were so many people ... I really couldn't believe it. Anyway, we finished up our Bud Lite's and headed inside. As soon as we entered we saw Concert T-Shirts on sale.

I HAD TO HAVE ONE!

I mean ... I am a huge Fleetwood Mac fan. So we stood in line. Only a few people in line anyway ... I got a black t-shirt with a pic of the band on the front and all the concert dates on the back.

We walked around for a little bit and then headed to our seats. We were way up at the top. I wasn't able to get the tickets when they were first released so we were up in the balcony. It's a new arena and it was designed so that all the seats are good ... and I have to say .. it was perfect up there. We could see everything! It was a fantastic view.

The concert was much better than I had hoped it would be. I went online and read up on the concert this morning and it is getting rave reviews. Lindsey Buckingham was just unbelievable! He was just amazing. He played the guitar like I've never seen anyone do before. He played 'I'm So Afraid' and it had a great guitar solo at the end. When the song was over, he got a standing ovation for 15 minutes! THe had to just start playing a song because everyone just kept clapping and screaming. It was really a very very good concert. Stevie Nicks was very good as well.

We enjoyed it very very much indeed. We left after the last encore and beat all of the traffic because I parked in a great spot. We decided to go to IHOP afterwards ... IHOP never tasted so good. Then we crawled home and went to bed.

In a couple weeks I am going to see Eric Clapton! I can't believe it. He is my favorite all time artist. I fell so lucky to finally be able to se him in concert. I would have done anything to be there when he made the Unplugged album. That is my favorite album of his. I can listen to it for hours. I can't wait!!!

Ok I'm done

WOW!

I just watched like the first two minutes of Family Ties ... the first episode with Courteney in it.

I had to turn it off.

It was so good! She was so funny. It is so rare to see something fresh and new of CeCe ... at least to me anyway. I don't want to waste it. I want to watch it, but at the same time, I want to save it. Does that sound crazy?

There are like 15 of these ... I am going to be so happy for awhile. This will help me get through all of this Friends finale crap. She is sooooo adorable in that I could just die! Seriously. I won't be able to NOT watch it ... I KNOW IT!

*Runs to go watch some more of it!*
Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

This just isn't fair.

There are 8 of us here. That means that each person has to close once a week. Closing is not fun. You are responsible for everything that happens. Well ... we all know how my closing shift went last time ... triple overtime.

So tonight ... here we go again. Why can't one of the earlier games go into overtime? Nooooooooooo ... it has to be the last game of the night ... when I am closing!

Let's begin shall we ... 1st Overtime is on the way.
I should just go ahead and setup the Putt Putt right now.

I'm now sitting here in the abyss that is 3rd overtime.
That's fine.

I can't seem to get into my movie. I've turned off my Pink Floyd music. I'm feeling a bit lonely. I never knew the building was haunted and made such noises?

I've made a rudamentary Putt-Putt golf course here in the office. I'm gonna bank it off the desk ... off the cabinet ... and down the length of the center aisle of cubicle's into the plastic cup!

FORE!

I'm literally counting the dots on the ceiling as we enter Overtime 2.
I think I will throw 'Love Actually' into my laptop on my desk to pass the time.

I'm sitting here trying to study ... constantly being distracted by the instinctual call to finish my 'Get Well Soon' caps. It took me 5 days to section out the caps. I started out with 2000 caps. Can you imagine? Anyway I now have to widdle that down to about 40-80. Then I will clean them up. I'm down to about 500. It takes time to try and find the best, clearest caps. Not only do they have to look clean, but they have to be good caps of Court. Anyway, I really should be studying but I'm just not in that place. Too much mental energy needed for that. I think I'd prefer to watch Monica on roller skates!

I wonder if Friends Boards will slowly die after the finale .... probably. I think CFAN and Courtvid will probably get more traffic after the finale. To be honest, I am more of a Courteney Cox fan then a Friends fan. 'It's not that I don't like Friends, it's just that that's not why I bought the ticket'. Friends will die and wither away ... Courteney (and David) will not. I used to love Cheers and Seinfeld ... I never really think about them at all anymore. I guess that speaks to our own mortality in many ways. A little depressing actually. I think Courteney's public persona will only improve after Friends. She's always been viewed as Monica ... probably why she has never been nominated for an emmy. She's so deserving of one. It's not easy to play that role that effectively.

I expect many more movie roles in her future. I think it will be easier to deal with Friends ending because I really believe Courteney will be successful and respected by her peers.

Hopefully they will all join Courvid. Needless plug!
